A windy photo session on blouberg beach
This lovely family travelled all the way from the UK to spend time with family in Cape Town, and while they were here, they wanted to capture this special chapter with a relaxed family photoshoot at Bloubergstrand Beach.
Cape Town's weather kept us on our toes with a bit more wind than expected, but that certainly didn't stop us from having fun. Their adorable little boy was an absolute superstar throughout the session. He laughed, played, enjoyed plenty of cuddles, and even managed a few high fives with Mum and Dad. The chilly breeze only caught up with him right at the very end, when he'd had enough after being such a little trooper.
One of the things I love most about photographing families on holiday is capturing the genuine moments between them. No stiff posing, just real smiles, little adventures, and memories they'll be able to look back on long after their Cape Town trip is over. Bloubergstrand is always a favourite location, with its beautiful beach, wide open space for little ones to explore, and the iconic views of Table Mountain creating the perfect backdrop for timeless family photographs.
Even on a slightly windy afternoon, this session was filled with warmth, laughter, and the kind of moments that remind you what family holidays are all about.
