A relaxed engagement photo shoot at eden forest
It's always lovely photographing people you already know, and this engagement session was extra special. I first met the bride to be when she taught my daughter a couple of years ago, and since I regularly photograph school events and portraits, we've continued to bump into each other over the years.
When she asked me to photograph their wedding next year, I was absolutely delighted. Before the big day, we headed to the beautiful Eden Forest in Stellenbosch for their engagement photoshoot, giving them a collection of images to use for their wedding stationery, invitations, and save the dates.
Eden Forest was the perfect setting, with its towering trees, winding paths, and soft natural light creating a relaxed and romantic backdrop. We spent the afternoon chatting, laughing, and capturing natural moments that reflected who they are as a couple.
Engagement sessions are a wonderful way to get comfortable in front of the camera before your wedding day. They also give us the chance to get to know each other even better, making everything feel much more relaxed when the wedding day arrives. I can't wait to photograph the next chapter of their story when they say "I do."
